Production Manager Fundamentals is a two-day course that will teach the student how to use and configure Production Manager, (formerly Proficy for Manufacturing Discrete). This course provides an entry-level introduction to the fundamental capabilities of the solution. Participants will work with a sample system to gain a better understanding of both route and execution management. This includes learning to navigate and use the Execution Management Interface and Configuration Editor. Students will become familiar with creating and executing work orders, collecting quality and BOM consumption information and executing a non-conformance process. Non-Conformance principles and how to perform approval and document management configuration will also be taught. Valuable hands-on lab exercises are provided which will guide students through completing an order through a process and configuring the out-of-the-box capabilities of Production Manager.
Who should attend?
The course is intended for operations staff that will be using the solution as well as process engineers or system administrators that will be responsible for configuring and supporting the software within their organization.
Are there any prerequisites?
Suitable candidates will be experienced with industrial software systems and should have a basic understanding of how to use GE visualization clients. An understanding of basic manufacturing terminology and familiarity with ISA S95 concepts are useful assets.
