Course Description

4102 Reliability Analytics – System Reliability Analysis

Overview

This highly interactive course teaches you advanced techniques for Systems Analysis. By associating asset data such as failure dates and unplanned correction costs, you will be able to determine the overall reliability of the system and reduce the overall system risk. You will construct a model using the APM System Diagram. Using a case study, you will construct a System Reliability Analysis using asset data provided as part of a scenario. You will then perform “what if” analysis to reduce overall system risk. Once you have a system modelled, you will look for actions that can mitigate risks inherent in the system. Once you have constructed a system and made the modifications intended to lower risk and improve reliability, a Monte Carlo simulation will be used to calculate the availability, reliability, and cost of failure for the entire system and for the individual elements included in the system.
